ABOUT OUR CLIENT

AIDS Accountability International (AAI) is an independent research and advocacy think tank organization holding leaders accountable for the commitments they have made to respond to health needs.

Today we are just under 10 employees located in offices in South Africa, Brussels and Stockholm, with its seat in Sweden. Now AAI will expand our staff resources in different areas. One of them is Fundraising/Resource Mobilization.

AAI is therefore seeking a Fundraising assistant, ideally starting November 2017, to support our Resource Mobilization work. The position will be 50% to full-time and reports directly to Executive Chair. It is an advantage if you already are based in Stockholm (or Brussels)

YOUR MISSION

• Identify and contact possible funding partners (donors and sponsors) to ensure continued funding and involvement with AAI. Finding the overlap between AAI priorities and the priorities of a possible donors/sponsor will be the method and the existing Fundraising Strategy will be a tool.
• Set up meetings for ED, Directors and Chair with possible and interested funding partners

The following skills and qualifications will be essential:

• Proven and relevant experience for fundraising
• Opportunity-thinking very desirable
• Excellent demonstrated English language communication skills, both written and oral are essential for this position.
• Familiarity with the philanthropic sector at international level is meriting
• Developed presentation skills are desirable
