This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to join a career-boosting programme designed around your potential as a future leader in a global organization. For 18 -24 months you will get to work in at least three different positions, in two different countries. The programme includes individual career development, a personal senior mentor, corporate training modules as well as operational projects and positions. Together we'll create a clear career target - a project/process lead or managerial position within five years after your programme.
We offer positions within the following business units:
* Research & Development; This year the positions within R&D will include Driver Assistance working with future areas towards Autonomous Drive; Electric Drive Systems with focus on concept and management of hybrid and electric vehicle projects; and Climate Systems developing a large span of product attributes for new vehicle projects
* Special Products & Accessories; with the main mission to create customised and brand building products, such as exclusive editions and commercial vehicles like police cars, and all accessory development for Volvo Cars
* Corporate Strategy & Project Office; responsible for setting the overall corporate strategy for Volvo Cars together with the Executive Management Team. They also lead strategic change initiatives within the Consumer Experience function to meet a new business reality of the automotive industry
* Product Strategy; with the responsibility for the Product Strategy and the high definitions of future vehicle program contents and positioning
* Manufacturing Engineering Volvo Car Engine Skövde; responsible for the development of future manufacturing propulsive production systems and maintenance of existing production systems within Volvo Car Engine globally
* Inbound logistics; covering the strategy setting, planning and operational responsibility for all Inbound as well as General Cargo Logistics and transport related activities for Volvo Cars
* Customer Service; faces an exciting transformation of Volvo Cars global customer service throughout the ownership lifecycle to better meet the demands and possibilities of the future
* Group IT; the groups this year are IT Services with the mission to develop and deliver business valued IT Services to drive globalization, growth and change, with continued cost efficiency; and Business Engagement R&D with the responsibility to integrate with other business functions, capture demands and strategically plan IT services
* Human Resources; One of our objectives is to become the Employer of Choice for people who want to make a difference. Human Resources are responsible for providing the company with comprehensive support in order to attract, recruit, develop and retain employees and help them perform and make a difference to support the long-term achievement of Volvo Cars' overall business plan
* Quality & Customer Satisfaction; the group Product Development's main tasks are to quality assure future models, ensure right methods & tools for quality, lead customer feedback and lead corrective actions if customer problems occur
* Finance; the group Financial reporting is responsible for Volvo Cars' statutory reporting and competence centre for key accounting areas like Sales accounting, Inventory accounting, Warranty and Fixed Assets
* Purchasing; with the mission to develop and maintain a world-class supplier base. Ensuring the supply of materials and services - at the right cost, quality and technology - is essential for the success of Volvo Cars
Your profile
We are looking for Graduates with courage, integrity and excellent communication skills. You enjoy working as part of a team, but you are also self-motivated with the ability to act independently with a holistic view. You aim to inspire and influence the people around you. You also have an openness to change and desire to discover opportunities in a constantly changing business environment. We put a lot of emphasis on your personal qualities. In order to qualify for our graduate programme, we're looking for you with great analytical ability and who show commitment and energy!
Required qualifications
* University Degree: Master in relevant area for desired business unit, completed when the programme starts
* Maximum of three years relevant working experience prior to or after graduation
* Fluent in English, written and spoken - additional languages are an advantage
* Driving license acquired when the programme starts
