The electrical and electronics architecture of our trucks is developed to fulfil the requirements of the different brands and segments within the Volvo group globally. The development work is done in an international environment as we are working together with colleagues from around the world to solve the challenges for the different truck models and brands. We are currently facing a large challenge in developing the next generation of the EE architecture and at the same time further develop and maintain the current architecture.
The Systems Engineering & Verification group is responsible for the formal verification and validation of the vehicle networks and corresponding electrical systems at both component and system level. The group is also responsible for coordination and planning of test activities within our projects as well as development of test methods and processes. Working in this group gives a very good overview of the complete electrical system in our trucks.
Job description:
As part of the verification team you will be responsible for reviewing requirements, performing test analysis, planning and specification of test cases, executing test cases and reporting progress.
You will also be working with trouble shooting of complex problems in both lab environments as well as in complete trucks.
You will be required to understand and be able to validate the usage of the EE system of our products. You will take part in further development of processes and methods within the system verification area as well as quality assurance on EE system level.
We believe that you have the following qualifications:
• Masters degree in electrical engineering, computer science or similar
• Experience from test and verification of embedded realtime systems
• Knowledge and experience in communication protocols (e.g. CAN& J1708/J1587)
• Good skills in methods and tools for verification
• Knowledge of analogue and digital circuit design
• Good communication and analytical skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Experience from the automotive industry is a merit
• Experience from SW development and LabView is a merit
