Vehicle Definition Buses & coaches is responsible for the technical product planning of Scania bus chassis and bus bodies.
Your work assignments
As a technical product planner, your task is to investigate, determine and illustrate new product needs for buses and coaches. Product requirements will be specified in product roadmaps where you are responsible to anchor and align them within Rerearch&Development. You will from these roadmaps initiate new projects and one of your responsibilities is to secure that these projects meet the Scania strategies and needs for your area of responsibility. Your responsibility will depend on your background and experience.
You will have a wide network of contacts both inside and outside Research&Development. The role involves close cooperation with our colleagues in the KB market department to ensure that needs and strategies are included in the product roadmaps. The above means that a certain amount of travel can occur to continuously update and understand new product needs.
The group is characterized by great commitment and openness, and as a natural part, we support each other even beyond our regular roles.
The group belongs to the section that is responsible for securing the technical strategy from a whole vehicle perspective for buses & coaches within Scania.
Your profile
You have the ability to see the whole picture as well as the details. You have commitment and you are communicative. You must have a good ability to illustrate and to simplify complex questions.
You have a technology and vehicle interest and have the will to work with complete buses & coaches as well as to grow with the task.
You are probably an engineer with a Master or Bachelor degree, but also a long work experience of heavy vehicles can be relevant.
You have some years of experience from working within Scania Research&Development or market department. Experience from the bus business is meritorious.
Good knowledge of English and Swedish, both written and oral, is a requirement.
