Acreo is developing new efficient power semiconductors based on silicon carbide technology (SiC). We now expand our activities towards high performance power electronic systems. The purpose is to speed up the implementation of SiC technology to generate new competitive products. In close cooperation with industry partners and research groups we will do system evaluation for different applications and bench-mark with silicon technology. Position 1 - System performance
Development of power electronics for motor drives, power converters and inverters based on novel SiC devices.
• Specification of electronic systems prototypes in cooperation with partner companies
• Electronic circuit design studies and system performance modeling for typical applications of 10-100 KW
• Electrical characterisation of SiC devices and modules
• Analogue circuits design, assembly and system performance studies of power system prototypes in cooperation with external partners
Work location is Kista (Stockholm).
Competence
You are a person with expertise in advanced power electronic system development with a PhD or equivalent professional experience.
• Practical know-how in analogue circuit design and experience in power circuit modeling
• Good knowledge of electronic metrology
• Experience with SiC power devices is an advantage
General capabilities
You are a diligent team player with customer focus and feel comfortable working in an international environment. Taking own initiatives is expected as well as rewarded.
• You are thinking innovatively and focus on results.
• Good English skills, written and spoken are required. Non-Swedish speaker will be offered Swedish courses.
