The company have through the years supplied innovative, value added systems and solutions for major energy providers, governments and contractors in the Middle East region.
Our core services include procurement, supplying and installation of power generating facilities, electrical distribution systems, process control, monitoring solutions, sounding and security systems, steel structures, construction equipment and machinery.
We are expanding and looking for a highly motivated Engineer with experience in energy and construction industries and an interest in project management for recruitment as Tendering Engineer.
Our tendering engineer will be interfaced with major national and international customers and be working within the engineering consultants responsible for proposal and tendering process.
The role of the candidate is dealing with a broad mix of work ranging from tendering to procurement. As tendering Engineer you will be an important part of a group of international engineering consultants, suppliers and (sub) contractors in delivery of key projects to the construction and energy industries, often complex high value engineering projects.
Responsibilities and challenges:
• You will be involved in our potential projects from the design phase to contract award.
• You will be responsible for the preparation and submission of tenders for new projects.
• Carry out technical evaluation of tender documents, identify problem areas and deviations and ensure all matters are discussed with client and clarified.
• Prepare the initial design/technical documentation in accordance with tender specification, requirements and procedures.
• Prepare computation and compilation of project financial quotations and technical content of project quotations in consulting with technical department.
• Conducting feasibility review meeting and risk analysis after every new enquiry occurs.
• Responsible for investigations of alternative materials, processes and technologies and their implementation into the business.
• Analyze all suppliers in order to select the most suitable suppliers who are able to deliver high quality products at competitive pricing and to meet objectives related to cost, delivery performance, schedule and quality.
• Negotiate with suppliers on lead-time, cost and quality so as to obtain the maximum benefit for the company.
• Follow-up with customer after enquiry generation till the order receives and till the material is dispatched to customer.
• Responsible for achievement of project goals
• Cooperate with the company's partners, suppliers and subcontractors during the tender process, to obtain quotes as required and prepare estimates for tenders. - Participate in internal and external technical and commercial meetings related to the proposal, client bid clarifications etc. for handover to project management.
• Coordinate with vendor on continuous quality improvement. The position is full time and based in our head office in Växjö. Qualifications
• BSc/MSc degree with a technical background
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the energy, telecommunication and construction industry.
• Thorough understanding of all Engineering disciplines
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office
• Excellent command of written and spoken English, preferably also Swedish and Arabic language
• Commercially minded and have excellent analytical skills
• Good Communication skills
• Experience in a variety of major projects in the Middle East is essential.
• Be able to work closely with others and also perform well individually
• Able to travel
