hela Sverige SSC Satellite Management Services is accepting applications for several temporary seasonal employment opportunities as Ground Station and Satellite Controllers at our Mission Control Center and Esrange Satellite Station, located 45 km outside of Kiruna, Sweden.
As a satellite and ground station controller you will be responsible for all technical/operational functions including health monitoring, performance analysis, and anomaly resolution, SSC is a 24/7 service provider. This temporary assignment is a rotating shift position with a 1 May 2013 start date and 31 August 2013 end date.
Qualifications
This position requires the following qualifications: an Electronics, Physics or Space Sciences Technical degree and/or operational experience in satellite and/or ground network operations. Other equivalent experience and qualifications may also be considered.
Qualified candidates should possess strong analytical and communication skills in order to provide a foundation for success in this position. In addition, applicants should be self-motivated and work well in a highly regulated environment.
SSC is a globally diverse organization offering an international work environment which requires fluent English (written and spoken). A valid driver's license is also required.
All applicants must be European Union or Schengen citizens legally allowed to work in Sweden without the need to obtain a work visa.
