Duties and Responsibilities
The role within the technical operations team as a Technical Specialist encompasses handling the technical platform, Betsson site/application and a lot of contacts within the organization and external partners. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to work to the high standards expected. The role offers the chance to be involved in a fast paced working environment and be part of a great team. You also have the ability to assist Betsson in moving forward through your creative thinking and entrepreneurial ideas.
Responsibilities
• Act as technical specialist on the production system
• Making sure that the system is up and running.
• Responsible for applications in production, technical support, fault resolution, initiate improvements, infrastructure, quality standards, IT security, configuration management, minor software development projects.
• Keep knowledge of company requirements and production road map.
• Direct reports to the Technical Operations Manager.
Primary work tasks
• On Call 24x7 (one week once a month)
• Operate applications primary Microsoft environment.
• Infrastructure/Server management (Planning, Acquisition, Configuring)
• Monitoring
• Contacts with partners
• Backup management
• Performance analysis and tuning
• Involved in development process of new products
• Development (management scripts, monitoring scripts)
• Minor integration projects with external systems
Prerequisites
The suitable candidate will have experience from similar positions and have a particular skill in Windows Server.
Required Skills
• University or college-level education in an appropriate field.
• Several years of experience in an equivalent or more qualified position. You consider your self as very skilled but have an ambition to develop even further within this area.
• Thorough knowledge in Windows based Server Systems
• Thorough knowledge in Windows, IIS, VMware vSpehre and basic knowledge in SQL.
• Knowledge in Load-Balancers, PKI, External DNS management, Monitoring systems, SAN is desirable but not a must.
• Master Swedish and English at a professional level both in speech and in writing
