ÅF Business Area Food & Pharma focus on the food and pharma industry within Scandinavia. The Business area has approximately 320 employees with about 10 offices in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. We have long industry experience and competence within project management, process design and automation.
ÅF Food & Pharma belongs to one of the market's independent leaders within its area and continues to expand to new markets. Region South covers Food & Pharma areas in southern Sweden and Denmark. The region today consists in approximate 110 employees with offices in Malmö, Herlev (Copenhagen), Kalundborg and in Randers. The region is the driving force and leader in ÅF for projects against the food industry.
Technical Manager for Region South means having a coherent function and providing support for project activities. You will work with experienced project managers and process designers from the industry. You provide with both technical and commercial support to the projects and project managers, in both success and adversity. Your role includes technical review of quotations and cost calculations as well as risk assessment for quotation Bid-No-Bid. In addition, you are responsible for negotiating our supplier agreements and also to be the primary contact of those suppliers when it comes to technology, solutions, quality and their deliveries and . An important part of the role is to secure strategic and technical procurement for major component deliveries, contracts and technologies in our daily business and projects.
Who are you?
In the role as Technical Manager, we see that you have solid experience primary from food/dairy, but also from pharmaceutical industry. You have the ability and experience of running multidisciplinary engineering projects. We expect a good technical understanding as well as a knowledge of suppliers within the industry. You do have at least 10 years of work experience. As a person you are structured and knows how to prioritize. You are good at delegating and follow up on actions and decisions. There are many different tasks in the role and the cooperation with other managers is important to decide where to add value to the business. You have experience and good ability to work with a project portfolio and can handle questions of progress, technology and economics. You have a very good ability to run strategic purchases as well as to handle and negotiate with suppliers. Full proficiency in Swedish/Danish as well as English.

Experience of entrepreneurship and commercial are two key words for developing business and building long-term strategic project activities. We are looking for a person who want to take the lead in our ongoing strategic work! The position requires flexibility to your daily schedule since you need to be able to travel to our project teams, clients and suppliers. You report to the Regional Manager for South and Denmark and will be included in the region's management team. You can be employed either in Malmö or in Herlev/Copenhagen.
