We are seeking a Technical Communicator to augment our Documentation Team in Stockholm.
You have a keen interest in developing and delivering customer-specific system documentation packages that include installation, operator, and user guides. You have experience in managing and implementing technical information projects for both customer and internal product development projects.
Your have excellent communication and teaching skills that you will draw upon as you write, edit, illustrate, and format text for improved readability and understanding.
The documentation team
As a technical communicator, you will be part of the documentation team. The team works in an agile manner where Scrum is our project model.
You will write and update online help systems, user guides, reference guides, and programming guides. You will also assist our sales organization in developing proposals.
Cinnober documentation is built on single-sourced, XML-based text modules. We publish manuals as online help or PDF documents.
You will work primarily in MadCap Flare as well as in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and Snagit.
English is our working language.
Qualifications
We are looking for somebody with some or all of the following:
Work related
• Engineering or communications degree and a high level of technical understanding
• Several years of experience in technical documentation, preferably in the financial industry
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
• Experience in writing in XML-based documentation systems
• Interest in monitoring the development of the latest documentation tools for web publishing, XML, and CSS
• A team player who can work independently
• Self-motivated, willing to take responsibility, and a good problem-solver
• Thorough with good attention to detail
• Have a positive attitude and a genuine interest in technical writing, software development, and the world of finance
• Enthusiastic and willing to learn
