Our customer is scaling up their Unicorn company and are now looking for a key member to join their Sports team. The right candidate for our customer is a true team player, is very achievement focused and has a very agile mindset. Their Sports team has the goal to be the fastest, most engaging, unique and customer friendly Sportsbook on the market. Our customer have already been awarded for best innovation, and they are looking to carry that momentum forward for their Sportsbook as well.
You will have a significant responsibility for the growth and mentoring of other software engineers in the team and must possess good leadership skills and be able to motivate and develop other team members. You will also work closely with Development, Project and Product Managers to ensure team goals are met. This is a unique opportunity to have a major impact on their engineering team's growth by helping them to continually raise the bar.
What you will do:
• Enable lean and data-driven ways of working to help the team deliver value efficiently
• Be the team's servant leader and protector
• Help improve agile software development and organizational practices
• Encourage a fun, healthy, collaborative engineering culture
• Share agile best practices with other leaders across team borders
• Support the team in hiring, coaching, mentoring and feedback
• Collaborate with the product manager and other team leads within the domain regarding e.g. planning, progress tracking and task prioritization
• Facilitate learning and knowledge sharing through workshops, meetings, and team activities
Qualifications
• You have demonstrated experience in leading, coaching and mentoring agile software development teams
• Your communication skills are great and you possess the ability to challenge the team when needed
• You have a solid understanding of the agile software development process
• You are familiar with agile project management tools, e.g. JIRA
• Your English skills, both written and spoken, are good and you are familiar with working in an international setting
• You seek simple solutions and drive change
Bonus points:
• Experience working in the sports betting industry
• You have a background in software development
