Systems developer within Master of Language Technology programme, part-time work in project SweLL
at the Swedish Language Bank Text (Språkbanken Text) <

In the project Swedish Learner Language - SweLL - a new infrastructure for Swedish as a Second Language is being created. Within the project we collect, digitize, anonymize, normalize, annotate and make available a collection of approx 600 essays written by second language learners of Swedish. The project is financed Riksbankens Jubileumsfond and is placed at Språkbanken Text.

SweLL is looking for a systems developer for work on automatization of pseudonymization of learner essays according to SweLL anonymization guidelines. The task at hand involves:
• Code development in Python
• Preparation of reference lists for pseudonymisation
• Setting up an API for pseudonymisation
• Evaluation of the code on a set of essays
Qualifications
For this part-time position the following requirements apply:
• At least one year of studies at a Language Technology program
• Skills of code development in python and cgi
• Certain familiarity with GDPR
This work requires attention to detail, accuracy, independence and interest to language. Basic knowledge of Swedish and previous experience with learner texts in Swedish is an advantage, as well as earlier experience of pseudonymization. Good teamwork skills.
We prioritize students accepted into the Master of Language Technology Programme (University of Gothenburg), with at least one year of experience at the Programme.
Employment
This is a short-time employment of approx. 40-100 hours, by agreement, during the period of April, 15, 2019 - June, 30, 2019. Placement is at the Department of Swedish.
