Aircraft Arresting Systems are installed on runways as emergency systems to safely catch and stop fighter aircraft in trouble during take-off or landing.

The role of Systems Design Engineer will be varied, with multiple types of tasks and assignments. Among the duties is the design of aircraft arresting systems, sub-systems and site specific adoptions, as well as technical improvements and optimization of existing products.
We are looking for an individual who are accustomed to the role as a design engineer, as well as having knowledge of simulation and analysis methods. We believe that you either have a university degree or extensive experience of equivalent tasks and assignments to fill the role of Systems Design Engineer. In your application please expand on how you view your skills and competence today, and how you would like to develop in the future.
As the work is mainly done in projects you should be confident in working in group but also be independent, self-driven and have the ability to take individual responsibility for assigned tasks. We are looking for an individual who has the interest and ability to seek and apply new knowledge and conduct work outside current specific field of expertise. Additionally, due to the smaller size of the company we are looking for an individual who has the ability to work with a wide variety of tasks and is able to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
Almost all SCAMA projects are export contracts. We are represented in close to forty countries and we work with customers and partners in multiple cultures worldwide. You should therefore be able to communicate fluently both in spoken and written English.
SCAMA offers a dynamic work place with alternating tasks, assignments and responsibilities, where you can develop both generally and in your role as a Systems Design Engineer, both theoretically and practically. International travel will be part of the position systems design engineer.
