The section Program & Industrialisation within the Transmission Development Department is responsible for all program execution within the department and to lead all Transmission & Driveline projects from program start to manufacturing launch. We ensure that Transmission and Driveline technologies are verified and delivered throughout the programs timely and with optimized cost.
As a System Project Leader within Transmission Development you will represent the Transmission Department in the program. The System Project Leader works together with the engineers within the department to develop and verify technical solutions and functions. You are responsible to lead the program, report status and take actions to resolve issues identified during the development. The System Project Leader reports to Unit Program Leader and the manager for Transmission Development, Program & Industrialization.
Main responsibilities
• Lead one or several Transmission Engineering programs
• Plan and ensure that all program deliverables are prepared and executed on time (within TTC contract)
• Together with transmission Design, Test and CAE engineers develop technical solutions
• Summarize and report program status
• Identify deviations and develop counter measures
• Escalate and ask for support when required
Required qualifications
• At least a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience
• 5-6 years as a Design Engineer within the car industry
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Driver License (B)
• Program management skills
• Knowledge of Volvo Cars development process and reporting systems is meritoriuos
