Your workplace
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world’s premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, avionics and systems to detect, locate and protect against threat.
ESM/RWR Systems is the unit within Systems Design which is responsible for the subsystem level in integrated systems which carry functions for Radar Warning, Electronic Support Measures and/or Electronic Intelligence.
The unit is the Design authority for the ESM, ELINT- and RWR subsystems in line with product roadmaps provided by Product Management and Integrated Systems. Maintaining subsystem roadmaps, including underlying building blocks are part of this responsibility.
ESM/RWR Systems is also responsible for the full functionality of the signal chain regarding Subsystem Design, Subsystem Integration and Subsystem Verification. This is done in close cooperation with Integrated Systems, Integration & Verification and Simulators & Rigs
The unit works also in close cooperation with Product Development.
The group consists of about 10-15 highly skilled Systems Engineers with different specialties. We intend to expand the group with several more System Engineers. We will continuously evaluate new applications starting from August.
Your role
You are the expert of the functionality of the RWR/ESM/ELINT signal chain and in that role you can work in all phases of product life cycle – maintaining subsystem roadmaps, requirement analysis, requirement breakdown and specification, product design, integration and verification. You have a large contact network within the company and possibly also outside the company.
Your qualifications
You find it stimulating to define highly advanced signal processing algorithms as well as work with overall performance - see the big picture. You like to share your knowledge with your colleagues.
You have an engineering education M.Sc or PhD preferably within Signal Processing or Electronic Engineering. You are experienced in requirements management, system design, signal processing and software architecture. You have preferably experience with EW or Radar.
You will need good English language skills.
The position entails working with classified information and requires Swedish citizenship.
