What we offer
Being an System Architect within Common Base Technology means you are a member of a team consisting of Architects, Product System Drivers, Specialist and Technical Experts covering a wide area like communication, resource management, mode management, SW download, data engineering, cyber security, diagnostics, fault management and more for all systems across the entire vehicle.
This is a leader position with responsibility to support and drive development of our future concepts and system solutions to support our advanced ambitions within e.g. electrification, autonomous drive and connectivity.
This specific system architecture responsibility covers Power Management.
What you'll do
Role Description:
Designs software architectures, concepts and requirements on all product structure levels.
Job Responsibilities:
* Application Software Development 6: Develop existing applications and contribute to development of new applications by analyzing and identifying areas for modification and improvement. Develop new routine applications to meet customer requirements.
* Applications Software Maintenance 6: Monitor, identify, and correct more complex software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
* Design and Conceptualization 5: Research and interpret data, trends, and benchmarks relevant to digital products/services design.
* Websites/Portals Maintenance and Update 6: Design and oversee the functionality, usability, and accessibility of business-critical portals/websites using content creation and management tools as well as digital media to ensure that technical continuity is maintained and development standards are met.
* Technical Developments Recommendation 5: Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users needs.
What you'll bring
Who you are?
To succeed in this role, it is most important that you are a curious quick learner who enjoys entering new areas. As you will collaborate with many different people cross our company, we expect that you have excellent collaboration and communication skills, are fluent in English both verbal and written, and enjoy working in a team. Since this is a senior engineering position you are expected to have leadership skills and personal interest to further develop them.
You need good knowledge about electrical architecture and engineering, knowing the physical behaviour of electrical components like batteries, converters, harnesses, connectors and so on.
It is also very useful to understand automotive communication protocols, how they are used and controlled, as well as diagnostics and how modelling of electrical system can help you in system design.
Furthermore, we think you have a MSc education in mechatronics, electrical/electronic or similar and + 7 years of relevant working experience.
Software architecture (e.g. SW allocation and interfaces) skills are meritorious.
