For our Propulsion and Control Division we are looking for a Structural Mechanics Analyst in Västerås.
As a Structural Mechanics Analyst you will provide complete Structure and design optimization of e.g. enclosures and attachments of converters, components, engines towards the vehicle. For which the typical environmental loads are vibrations, shocks and air blasts. You will together with mechanical and electrical designers be part of a team in an iterative design process.
Your Responsibilities and Challenges:
• Support with recommendations for the design based on requirements and your analyses.
• Involvement in the entire cycle from bid via concept decision to final physical tests
• Solve system level design problems
Your Experience and Qualifications :
• We believe you are educated to a University degree in Mechanical Engineering or have gained equivalent knowledge through other relevant technical education or 2-3 years of relevant work experience
• Experience of Hypermesh or other FEM-software
• Experience of welding design, fasteners and surface treatment
• Excellent understanding of mechanics
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Fluency in English and Swedish
In order to be successful in this position you need be independent, well organized and structured. You also need to be driven with good communication and collaborative abilities. Since this position also includes cooperation with other stakeholders you need to be both social and have high degree of integrity.
