Structural Engineer, Design, TTS Marine AB (ref 06/12) Background The Structural Engineering team is presently developing to not only work with strength analysis and FEM. Value will now be added to our products also from aspects such as R&D, optimization & Naval Architecture. To give room for this widening of scope we need to reinforce our team with a third employee. The position will be flexible to also include design work. The mix will vary over time, depending on need. Who are you? You have a good sense of behavior of structures, and an innovative mind in how to, in most efficient way create a structure considering loads, stiffness, weight and total cost within limits of space, time & project effort. Maybe you have some years of experience working with strength aspects of welded steel structures and/or ship design, and have concluded that you want to develop from where you are today. If you have special knowledge in areas such as material, welding & manufacturing, that is of great value. Since you will interact intensively with other project members, different TTS functions, Class Societies, external technical groups, customers and ship owners you must have excellent communication skills. You may, but not necessarily, be Naval Architect or similar. What can we offer? Our offices and customers are located globally, therefore international contacts are frequent.
