The sourcing function within Business Unit Networks is responsible for global sourcing of the network infrastructure product portfolio. We are working with products for any communication need over mobile and fixed connections. The organization consists of 350 employees globally, on 9 sites in 7 countries.
Radio & Core hardware sourcing is responsible for sourcing of components and products for Radio Access and Core network systems.
For our unit we are recruiting recently graduated talented candidates with potential to develop within our skilled team consisting of approximately 60 experienced sourcing professionals.
Through excellent sourcing management we ensure effective sourcing of components and products in alignment with Business Unit Network's strategies, corporate policies and directives.
We are actively involved in early design projects, evaluating technical solutions and driving and negotiating the right commercial conditions before releasing a product to the market. During the products lifecycle we are constantly working with cost reduction activities.
Close interaction with design units and suppliers in product development projects to ensure successful introduction and ramp up of new products is an important area of the responsibility.
The work includes supplier management of our global supplier base. This means business strategy alignment, relationship governance and supplier performance development with international world leading companies.
Supplier evaluation and category management is part of the responsibility to develop the supplier base for future technology and business needs. In a competitive environment business intelligence, financial and commodity analysis is important tools to understand the future market trends.
Typical work tasks are:
• Project management sourcing
• Supplier evaluation and supplier selection
• Supplier relationship governance
• Negotiate agreements
• Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
Traveling is required, domestic and abroad
Qualifications
A recent University degree in Engineering with Business mindset, or equivalent in Economics with Technical knowledge.
The successful candidate will have genuine interest in technical sourcing possibly proven by some experience. Good interpersonal and communication skills are vital along with an ability to build networks. You contribute as part of a team in a multicultural environment. You like to create results together with others and by yourself. You possess analytical skills, a strategic mindset and a willingness to take responsibility. The job involves international contacts outside and within Ericsson, so besides Swedish you must also be fluent in English.
