Chassis Systems and Control is part of the Hardware unit within Product and Quality at Volvo Car Group. The steering team's mission is to develop steering systems and functions, which supports this vision creating and shaping the technology required for future platforms including autonomous drive.

Steering Validation Engineer
The steering team are seeking a Validation Engineer to develop our future EPAS and Column solutions. A background in Hardware, Mechatronic and SW system design is desirable with experience in delivering complex system solutions that always put the customer first.
Main responsibilities
* Aid in the Development of future Steering System solutions for EPAS and Column by driving the team's validation needs.
* Aid in delivery of system verification plans and component test plans together with Lead Engineers for both HW and SW.
* Coordinate HIL, System Mule, component testing and certification testing.
* Lead the Virtual verification work together with steering engineers and principle engineer.
* Key contact with test engineers and attributes teams to ensure validation process fulfils expected timing and quality.
* Responsible for logistics surrounding both HW and SW vehicle and lab testing.
* Analyse Test Data with Matlab or equivalent tool.
* Provide status of testing, releases, and vehicle evaluations.
Required qualifications
* MSc or BSc in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering.
* Previous experience of validation and test engineering for Software and/or Hardware.
* Experience in Vehicle Dynamics with focus on NVH, Ride and Handling.
* Experience of setting engineering targets at vehicle, system and component level.
* Fluent in English (written and spoken).
* Driver's license B or equivalent.
* Fluent in Swedish (preferable).
