We are now looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to join our Membrane team, which develops vertically align nanowire thin films for solar cell prototypes and future applications. We work with our internal customers to make sure the nanowire solar cell materials we develop stay at the forefront of solar cell technology. In the role as Sr. Process Engineer you will contribute to the development of our existing Sol film technology by scaling up our technology for the production of a PV thin-film of vertically aligned semiconducting nanowires. Your main responsibilities will be to: - plan and coordinate engineering studies to evaluate and optimize the existing manufacturing process making it robust, economical, safe and environmentally friendly.
• work closely with our R&D team to set and implement short and long-term engineering strategy to achieve pilot scale manufacturing.
• deliver a manufacturing-ready process, including identification and acquisition of relevant equipment to conduct pilot manufacturing and authoring Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) describing how the new processes will be run in the pilot plant.
Who are we looking for? - You have a MSc in material science, physics or chemical engineering
• You have proven experience in industrial scale-up processes preferable within thin-film, coating, ink, printing or sol-gel industry.
• You have knowledge and practical use of experimental design and significant experience of product development.
• You have data based decision making skills, and excellent problem-solving skills.
• You have good interpersonal and communication skills.
