Role Summary:
You will be responsible for the overall delivery of Legal & Compliance IT systems for Biopharma. This is a new area of responsibility for Biopharma IT, the systems have previously been provided and supported by GE and many of them will continue to be supported for a transitional period under a Services Agreement (TSA).
Essential Responsibilities:
In the first instance, your role will be to manage a small team, to maintain and develop the applications which will be transferring to Biopharma, while working with IT leadership stakeholders to propose strategies for TSA exit of the remaining applications, ensuring that solutions meet Biopharma's business needs, align to the wider Danaher Life Sciences IT ecosystem as appropriate and provide value for money.

Responsibilities in this role, you will:
Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery, maintenance and operation of Legal and Compliance IT systems
Manage a small Legal and Compliance IT team, reporting to the Enterprise Applications Executive leader
Develop the strategy for Legal and Compliance IT systems, in conjunction with the Legal and Compliance functions and drive the associated prioritization, budgeting and resource planning, ensuring that this supports the objectives and key initiatives for the business globally and the LS portfolio management processes
Develop effective collaborative working relationships with peers across the LS DT organisation and with leaders in the Legal & Compliance function
Enable rapid innovation, understanding a range of methodologies and leveraging them as appropriate
Ensure that project budgets, statements of work, contracts are managed to maximise the value of the outcome to Life Sciences
Champion an organizational culture that celebrates success, but also recognises the development that comes through lessons learned from failure
Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product feature and application
Work with the team and stakeholders to drive a 'cloud first' strategy
Ensure that solutions are aligned to the wider IT architecture across Biopharma and also, where appropriate, the wider Danaher Life Sciences organisation
Deliver a culture that articulates business benefit outcomes and measures the realisation of outcomes, providing regular updates to stakeholders
Manage external vendors to ensure that GE LS has the necessary capabilities to meet changing demand.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or equivalent knowledge or work experience
Proved of professional experience.

Technical Expertise:
Hands on experience of delivery of relevant IT systems (specific systems are not required, but examples of relevant systems might include document and contract management) including release management, operations and maintenance
Familiarity with agile and other delivery methodologies
Understanding of data management strategies in relation to legal and compliance requirements
Ability to support teams to identify new approaches to complex design problems
Well developed analytical skills
Awareness of applications architecture and an appreciation of the implications of how applications fit into wider IT ecosystems
