Supplier Quality Management (SQM) department within Volvo Cars Procurement is a global organization with responsibility to select, develop and maintain an external supplier base that can produce and deliver parts within specification to the required volume so that we can ensure flawless production in our plants
As our Specialist SQM within the scope of polymer materials and processes, including composite materials you will be a part of a passionate team with global field of scope, that selects and drives suppliers to excellent performing processes and products. SQM is an area where you can build a global network for long term development.
Main Responsibilities:
* Evaluate potential suppliers to source
* Review suppliers project deliverables during the industrialization phase
* Lead cross functional taskforces to solve serious deviations when quality and capacity issues occurs, jeopardizing production in our plants
Required qualifications:
* Deep competence, both theoretical and practical in polymer materials, and knowledge in composite materials.
* Experience and knowledge of manufacturing processes of polymer materials
* University degree MSc or PhD or equivalent experience
* Verified competence and capable to use quality tools & methods such as DOE, FMEA etc
* Fluent in both spoken and written English
* Knowledge of product development, specifications and standards within automotive industry.
* Experienced in working cross-functionally.

* Good communication skills and ability to maintain good international relations
