It is a public, non-fee paying school which also follows the Swedish National Curriculum (LPO). The school has 350 students in preschool - grade 10, 100 students in the Diploma Programme and about 60 employees.
The students of ISH come from many different cultures and the staff work, in an environment of mutual respect, to create an internationally recognized education. The school strives to develop the students academic and social skills in order to prepare them in the best way for the future.
Publiceringsdatum2013-04-09Arbetsuppgifter• teaching one-to-one or small groups depending on the need – language, Math concept work, all other curriculum subjects, organization and other skills
• giving advice on special needs and special needs students
• suggesting about the learning situation and environment
• giving advice on differentiation of subject material/how to reach the objectives and/or goals;
• supporting on mapping student needs and completing referrals
• actively assisting teachers to write effective action plans with smart goals
• supporting teachers in communicating with parents, and attend facilitated parent/teacher meetings;
• completing internal assessment of students referred to the special needs department
• leading the primary division at the Student Welfare Team meetings and share/discuss necessary information regarding students in program or students who have been referred
• use a structured, multi-sensory language teaching programme, when needed
• attend fortnightly student welfare team meeting;
KvalifikationerQualified Special Needs teacher with teaching credential. Must have worked with PYP students aged 6-12. Fluency in English is a necessary prerequisite for employment.
Arbetstider och omfattningHeltid. 100% Dagtid. Tidsbegränsad anställning, tillträde: 2013-08-09 , upphör: 2014-06-06 One year employment to cover for maternity leave.
