Avalanche Studios are hiring! We are seeking an experienced and skilled Sound Programmer to help create our next big action title!
Since our humble beginnings in 2003, we have grown to become one of the world’s leading independent studios. After two hit games based on our original IP Just Cause, we are now moving in a new and exciting direction in action games. For us to reach our set goal and to create something extraordinary, we need talented, creative and disciplined developers.
At Avalanche Studios, we are truly passionate about games development, but we realize that game developers have lives too. We are focused on the well-being of our employees, and strive to find balance between work and play even in the office. Our gang currently enjoys company financed sports activities, events, massage during work hours and much, much more.
As an Avalanche employee you will work as part of a cross functional team together with some of the most talented and experienced individuals in the gaming industry. The studio’s projects vary between small online games to huge boxed products. We work using a Scrum/agile process with a continuous development of methods, tools and technology.
We require an experienced Sound Programmer with at least 2 years of development experience for current generation consoles. This is a position within one of several high profile unannounced AAA titles, for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, with some of the world’s most distinguished publishers.
The ideal candidate should be a highly motivated individual who is good at communicating and working within cross-discipline teams. The candidate should also have the ability to plan and carry out programming tasks to required levels of quality and on time.
Experience we consider valuable includes: distributed programming for consoles in C++, low-level programming, profiling / optimization, streaming / resource management, sound system development, DSP programming, audio codec experience, tools, build systems, compiler pipelines, scripting (python or similar).
To apply for this position please register below with a detailed CV and cover letter. Apply as soon as possible since the recruitment process will start immediately. All further information is provided under non-disclosure agreement only. All applicants are required to relocate to work full-time in Stockholm, Sweden.
