Scania Mining is a Business Area focusing on delivery of solutions based on all Scania's various products and services to the Mining Industry.
Mines tend to be in remote areas far away from our normal service network and many customers are operating globally. Our aim is to build up safe and cost efficient transport solutions tailor made for each individual mine site wherever they are in the world. We are mainly working through our normal Scania distribution network.
This is a temporary position with a duration of 11 months.
Your role
You will support, coordinate and lead smaller projects of various kind in our daily work of making diagnoses of our customers transport operations with regard to operational economy, flow optimisation and sustainability. Based on this you will support, coordinate and lead smaller projects in the tailoring of solutions, i.e. specifying the appropriate equipment and services. Furthermore you will also play a key role in the distributor development team where you are expected to support Regional Managers with business analyses such as regarding development of product and service sales and profitability, as well as other administrative work.
Part of the job will be to set up and improve methods and tools related to your work.
The job will naturally include direct contact with our distributors and sometimes customers, and it will require some travelling.
The position offers you an excellent opportunity to build commercial experience, to get to know the Mining industry and to understand the Scania way of doing business in Solution Sales. It is a great platform to grow into more challenging positions in the Scania organisation.
Your profile
We are looking for a loyal, fact based and task oriented person who can secure that the quality is right with regard to details and make sure started projects also are finished. Ideally we want a young Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a multi-cultural background, good analytical capabilities and with a commercial interest.
Some experience or knowledge from Mining and/or Oil and gas Industry is desirable. The candidate must be able to speak and write English fluently. Knowledge in other languages is highly welcome.
