Excited to be part of something new? Do you have a passion for architecting complex IT solutions? Great! We are looking for a talented solution architect to join our growing digital organization, AFRY X.
As a Solution Architect at AFRY X you will lead the creation of Industrial IoT, and AI-based software services to client and industry problems. You will work close with the product development team and together with enterprise architects or technical architects be responsible for strategic directions. You have deep hands-on technical skills of Internet of Things products and technologies and have several years' experience of successfully implementing IoT and AI solutions.
To be successful in this role, you should have a balance between technical and business skills and have focus on the technical decisions regarding the solution and how they impact the product outcome.The role covers the full lifecycle of solution development from engaging with clients, participating in Design Thinking sessions, architecture development, and providing technical direction to agile development teams.
Your daily work is agile and you can expect a broad and developing role in which the combination of technical knowledge and ability to drive change is central.

Leading the design and development of Industrial IoT and AI-based software services and products
Solving industry problems with a relentless focus on client value
Understanding the full scope of solutions spanning the physical and digital worlds including client assets, physical infrastructure, devices, gateways, wireless networks and cloud platforms
Full lifecycle of software services and architecting for resilience and performance
Providing thought leadership to internal teams and clients on new technologies/trends and articulate their business and operational impact
Taking key architectural decisions relating to technology choices and operational models
Who are you?
You are a solution architect who should be able to envision a transformation roadmap that aligns with the strategic and tactical direction of AFRY X. You have experience working with stakeholders and product owners to understand inefficiencies in clients' existing business processes and applications and you have and are comfortable recommending different solutions.
We value your personality and mindset, as well as previous work experience together with a relevant University degree such as a BS and/or MS in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering or equivalent.
Formal requirements
Certified IT Architect in at least CITA-F or higher, or equivalent certification body.
Broad knowledge of technical solution areas including IoT devices and networks, security, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, AI, system integration and mobile app development
The ability to lead diverse and distributed technical teams in the delivery of software products using agile techniques and mindset'
Expertise in Cloud Native Architectures, such as REST and APIs, Microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, polyglot data storage and Messaging, preferably on Microsoft Azure
Experience with agile delivery methodologies and use of modern, open source DevSecOps tools
The ability to architect and manage an end-to-end solution while being able to drill down into technical details and perform root cause analysis when required
A wide breadth of technical skills and the ability to learn new things fast
Excellent client facing and communications skills, fluent in spoken and written English, Swedish is a merit
The ability to successfully navigate complex organisations and manage multiple stakeholder interests
