As an Industrial IoT Solution Architect in AFRY X you will lead the creation of Industrial IoT and AI based software services to client and industry problems. The role covers the full lifecycle of solution development from engaging with clients, participating in Design Thinking sessions, architecture development, and providing technical direction to agile development teams.
As a Solution Architect you will be expected to have hands-on technical skills of Internet of Things products and technologies and have several years' experience of successfully implementing IoT and AI solutions. You will be proficient in the use of analytical solutions and cloud platforms as fundamental components of an Industrial IoT software service. You will also be comfortable helping clients understand how these solutions may enable new business models, revenue streams and affect their competitive positioning. Your daily work is agile, and you can expect a broad and developing role in which the combination of technical knowledge and ability to drive change is central.
Responsibilities
Leading the design and development of Industrial IoT and AI based software services and products
Solving industry problems with a relentless focus on client value
Understanding the full scope of solutions spanning the physical and digital worlds including client assets, physical infrastructure, devices, gateways, wireless networks and cloud platforms.
Full lifecycle of software services and architecting for resilience and performance
Providing thought leadership to internal teams and clients on new technologies / trends and articulate their business and operational impact
Taking key architectural decisions relating to technology choices and operational models
Who are you?
Core Requirements
Experience of architecting complete Industrial IoT and AI solutions and their deployment and operation in a client environment
The ability to lead diverse and distributed technical teams in the delivery of software products using agile techniques and mindset
Expertise in Cloud Native Architectures, preferably on Microsoft Azure
A wide breadth of technical skills and the ability to learn new things fast
It is beneficial if you also meet some of the following requirements
Broad knowledge of technical solution areas including IoT devices and networks, security, cloud infrastructure, data platforms, AI, system integration and mobile apps
Use of modern, open source DevSecOps tools
Excellent client facing and communications skills
The ability to successfully navigate complex organisations and manage multiple stakeholder interests
A passion for digitalization of our client's operations and the transformation of entire industries
Experience from one or more of our core transforming segments of infrastructure, food and life science, bioindustry or clean energy is also advantageous
Fluent in spoken and written English, Swedish is a merit
