The position Do you want to fundamentally change how open platforms of the future will play a role in healthcare and welfare improvement? A fundamental part of an ecosystem that is driven by the value of information and the enabling of innovation for Cambio, other vendors as well as the business themselves to deliver value to everyone from clinicians to citizens. A key part of this platform is the OpenEHR Clinical Data Repository (CDR), which provides a standards-based foundation for managing, sharing, and evolving clinical data across products, services, and ecosystems.
We are now looking for a senior software engineer to be part of our team, where you will play a key role in shaping how we deliver reliable, scalable, and efficient solutions across the company - with a strong focus on building and evolving our OpenEHR-based Clinical Data Repository (CDR) as a core component of the Cambio Platform.
What You'll Do:
• Develop, test, and evolve backend services for the Cambio CDR product
• Design and operate services in containerized environments
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and provide technical expertise to the team
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve services in production
• Collaborate on architecture, reliability, and security decisions

Requirements
• Strong experience from Java or Kotlin programming languages
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architectures and microservices
• Comfortable using modern AI tools as a natural part of your development workflow.
• Understanding of cyber security and secure software development principles such as token-based authentication, identity federation, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
It's a bonus if you have
• Experience working with OpenEHR, clinical information models, or healthcare interoperability standards
• Experience from building and setting up test automation
• Experience working according to DevOps/DevSecOps principles

Place of employment: Stockholm or Linköping
Scope: Full-time, hybrid work model (three days per week in-office)
Form of employment: Permanent employment, 6 months trial period
