hela Sverige RobCab is a Swedish R&D company manufacturing fully Autonomous Logistics Systems for hospitals where the transport tasks are executed by autonomous mobile robots. The company has recently been acquired by the industrial group Gerdins.
We are now growing our team in Västerås, Sweden, which together will be responsible for development of existing and future products. As an embedded software engineer at RobCab, you will be developing software solutions for autonomous mobile robot systems and providing expertise in embedded systems.
Main job duties:
• Design, implement, test and document (embedded) software solutions for use in a autonomous mobile robot platforms.
• Troubleshoot and develop solutions for customer and manufacturing problems.
Requirements:
• MSc or BS in Computer Science, or equivalent.
• Expert understanding of C/C++ programming language.
• Several years of experience of programming and maintaining embedded linux solutions.
• Working experience in troubleshooting of complex HW/SW systems.
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience with electronics design.
• Knowledge of design patterns, data structures, and code testing.
• Capable of solving complex tasks in creative and effective ways.
• Able to estimate own work and delivering robust solutions on schedule.
Good to have:
• Experience with real-time embedded systems.
• Knowledge of script languages, like Python, Bash, etc.
• Experience in maintaining linux based server.
• Understanding of and experience with any of the following robotics related topics: navigation, path-planning, obstacle avoidance, computer vision, estimation and control is very welcome.
