The section Powertrain OBD and Dependability, within Complete Powertrain has the mission to ensure that the development of the next generation engines reflects our brand essence of 'Designed Around You' and that all legal and customer attributes regarding OBD and Powertrain dependability is met. We oversee the complete development work from concept design and requirement setting as well as calibration and verification in the last development phase. All activities aiming to deliver world class OBD and dependability. The department currently holds 90 people working mainly with function development/application for embedded powertrain systems and need to strengthen its workforce with an experienced Software Configuration Manager in order to increase efficiency in the area of in house developed software.
As Software Configuration Manager the area of responsibility is to lead and plan our in house developed SW, develop and support our tool chain, develop testing environments and necessary processes in this area. This role requires a close dialogue with project managers, other Configuration Managers outside department, line management and function developers. You will have a large contact network, high demands are therefore set towards your social skills and networking ability. We offer you great development opportunities within an exciting area with possibilities to develop the Configuration Manager role.
Main responsibilities
• Lead and plan in house developed software
• Lead and develop test environment for software
• Develop and support tool chains and SW processes
• Report status to line management
Required qualifications
• M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Extensive work experience from SW development
• Documented experience of configuration, build or/and testing Management
• Documented skills in programming and scripting
• Experience from Simulink, MatLab and Python is meritorious
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Driver's license (B-level)

• Strong communication and networking skills as well as a positive mindset
• Well organised and structured
