Consumer Services at Volvo Group Connected Solutions is responsible for the end user services, from idea to development and operation. Together with our partners and customers, we create value through fantastic user experience and business enhancing services and products.
We are now looking for a backend/full stack developer within the Tracking & Status product team. We are known for having a great team spirit, team atmosphere and is considered a high performing team that very much focuses on the end customer needs. The product team consists of 6 devops teams, 1 core team and we mainly deliver positioning services and vehicle health services. The role
As a person, you are a team player with a positive mind-set and you know the various challenges of application development. We believe a customer-oriented attitude is in your nature, you care about quality, allow yourself to be inspired, have a "can do" attitude and take pride in your work.
In the role, you will develop software applications mainly backend and possibly some frontend- according to our development standards. In the daily work you will deploy, operate and maintain our applications incl. driving continuous improvement of the same for better quality, functionality and cost effectiveness. We also appreciate that all developers actively contribute to the solution design of new services. And finally, but not at least, continuously reflect upon how we are doing things and where we can improve. Our willingness to try new ways of working to improve is relentless.
We believe you have:
A university degree in software engineering, computer science or similar education
Working experience as Application Developer, but we also recognize experience through other projects. Experience in both front- & back-end it is a bonus, back-end is however most important in this role
Knowledge in asynchronous programming, micro service architecture, cloud services, test automation frameworks
Previous experience of GraphQL, REST and deploying to AWS is considered a huge plus
Fluent in English - both written and spoken. Basic skills in Swedish is preferred
A valid work-permit for Sweden is required, if not EU-citizen
