We are looking for a Site Safety and Coordination Manager of Volvo Group Trucks Technology, you will have a key role to drive and governance that we ensure safe work environment at our site for our employees and contractors in accordance with the Swedish Working Environment Act (Arbetsmiljölagen).
As Group Trucks Technology is the biggest entity at site Lundby we are responsible to coordinate that working environment risks that arise at site are identified and addressed together with other functions. You will work with all areas of site coordination including risk assessments, defining responsibilities, identifying high-risk jobs, establishing communication paths, safety routines and safety standards. Our site is undertaking major changes going into Camp Lundby and we are right now in an interesting technical journey, this will give you opportunity to learn about, work together with and create networks in a lot of other Volvo functions.
You will be positioned in the Technical Safety and Environmental team within the section Workshops and Rigs in Complete Vehicle, GTT at site Lundby. The team consists of six skilled members with deep knowledge in safety and environment expertise.
Essential Skills and Needed Work Experience
University degree in Engineering or Environmental Science or equivalent work experience
At least 5 years work experience within the field of work environment and within a coordinating function
Very good ability to communicate, collaborate and make decisions
Strong ability to work with a sense of urgency and with a doer ability
Fluent in English and Swedish both written and spoken
Experience from R&D, production environment, construction work or similar is an advantage
Main Responsibilities
Govern, maintain, and support the framework and training regarding the Work Environment Coordination at Volvo Lundby
Convene the Site Safety & Coordination meeting and safety rounds at Volvo Lundby
Act as the convening part of the Site Safety Coordination
Initiate and address necessary changes at Volvo Lundby in respect to Work Environment Coordination
Govern and approve work permits
Handle incident reports regarding the external work environment (in Volvos IA-system)
Secure risk management and follow-up according to internal procedures
Support and advocate continuous improvements
Be a strong advocate for our safety culture
