Our Exciting Opportunity
Ericsson Global IT has built a centralized team with the mission of developing common DevOps tooling and cloud automation to tackle problems that every development team has!

We are now growing our scope to provide a software engineering approach to IT operations, pioneered by Google called Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Architect! The SRE Architect role incorporates aspects of software engineering and applies them to operations whose goals are to build ultra-scalable and highly reliable software systems reducing manual intervention.

The ideal candidate will apply entrepreneurial spirit to drive strategic topics, effective DevOps processes and ensure high quality of our deliveries.

The position will be based in Kista, Sweden reporting to the Product Area Manager of Hybrid Cloud.

You will
Work closely with development teams to achieve high level of availability, reliability, and performance of their service
Develop tools & automation on top of AWS, Azure and GCP to continuously reduce the need for manual intervention
Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and SLA Reporting (observability)
Manage Infrastructure through automation (Infrastructure as Code)
Develop automation, optimize, and drive efficiency in processes, tools, and communication across teams
Apply SRE best practices
Participate in root cause analysis and in the on-call duty rotation


To be successful in the role you must have
A University degree (MSc, MBA) or equivalent with a minimum 2 years of experience working in software engineering with solid understanding of operations
In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes & Docker and experience with at least one configuration/deployment management system such as Terraform, or other similar tools
Experience working with at least one of the following programming languages: Go, Python, Node.js, Ruby and Java
Good knowledge of cloud native technologies, cloud infrastructure and understanding of micro-services architecture. Hands-on experience with public cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS)
Outstanding communication skills and ability to build networks
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
