Our chemical production plant in Uppsala manufactures BioProcess resins, LabMedia products, Ready to Process columns, Cell technology products (Cell separation, Cell culture), and BiaCore consumables. This includes functions like Raw material handling, Quality control, Solvent handling and solvent recovery, Waste water treatment and Dextran production, but also Maintenance, System Support, Business Continuity and Process Improvement.

What you'll do
Recognized as a senior leader you will lead a very sophisticated manufacturing operation, regularly influence senior management and develop / implement system-wide strategic business plans for the manufacturing plant. You are responsible for leading plant-manufacturing operations, and meeting all operational defined targets such as quality, cost, delivery and safety.
Key Responsibilities Include
Be the Managing Director for Cytiva Sweden AB.
Lead, develop and optimize teams and associates responsible for EHS, capital projects, site infrastructure, utilities and security.
Lead for approximately 100 associates in Sweden, Denmark, U.K. and United States.
Maintain full regulatory compliance and other legal requirements for the Uppsala site (e.g. permit to operate)
Maintain and develop QMS and EHS excellence at site level and the Site Master Plan and related initiatives.
Support / uphold relevant ISO standards, crisis management, security and safety.
Ensure sufficient capacity and capabilities to meet commitments related to site, EHS and compliance, including leading capital investments initiatives and execution.
Ensure strategic plans are in place to meet long term need towards the site functions.
Drive continuous improvements to meet targets on projects, sustainability, EHS. Use DBS (Danaher Business System) so that internal business metrics are met.
Who you are
MBA or master degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering or similar
Significant experience working with shown leadership in manufacturing or supply chain management.
Great presentation skills, proven both internally and towards customers
Excellent project management, communication and analytical skills
Creates energy to deliver company goals through creation and comprehensive communication of practical "hands-on" operational plans and strategies
Growth leadership skills demonstrating clear perspective and understand factors impacting our businesses and our suppliers
Energizing others by building a connection with the team through personal involvement & trust & providing feedback & coaching to help develop others
Good level of Swedish language desired, fluency in Swedish preferred
Fluency in English
Ability to successfully empower and maintain high moral, employee involvement, safety and teamwork.
Understanding customer needs, marketplace dynamics, industry trends, & the competitive landscape in the industry/function & considering the external impact of business activities & decisions on the external environment
Simplifying strategy into specific actions with clear accountability, making decisions with speed & accuracy based on the best available information & communicating priorities clearly & concisely.
