Metsos mining and construction professionals specialize in always bringing the right technology, processes, machinery and services to our customers in the aggregates production, construction, mining and minerals processing.
As Site Engineer for mechanical and electrical commisssioning you will work closely in cooperation with the Site
Manager or Project Manager of a project. You will be working with the mechanical design and process issues at site.
In this position, your tasks will include;
• Involvement in all issues at site for installation and commissioning.
• Understanding requirements of a concentrator plant design from a construction, operations and maintenance perspective.
• Manage design changes throughout the project execution, keeping the Senior Plant design Engineer informed about changes that can affect the project budget, other disciplines and areas of the plant.
• Review and understand customers / contracts requirements in terms of design specifications.
• Review and understand the project quality requirements, monitor and ensure compliance.
The job requires travelling, both domestic and international.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (i.e. Project/Construction
Management) ,or equivalent training/experience. Minimum 2 years plant design or related experience and experience from plant design in the mining business, preferably from concentrator plants for copper-, iron-, lead/zink- gold-, diamond- or other ores.
To be successful in this role, you need excellent computer skills, good decision making skills, and the ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted with minimal supervision. It is also essential that you are a team player with strong relationship building and communication skills (both written and oral).
You are also able to keep many project running simultaneously without loosing the accuracy or efficiency under pressure.
Since the job requires travelling, you need a valid driver s licence and passport.
