Job description
Nordex Sweden is now looking for a new Service Site Manager to our Windfarm in Åndberg (Sveg/Lillhärdal). Working as part of the Nordic Region Service Team, the Service Site Manager shall be responsible for the daily operations; planning and coordinating the repairs and maintenance of the wind turbines in his/her area. The Service Site Manager manages a team of 10 service technicians to ensure the completion of their allocated service tasks within the specified time frames and to the required standards. The Service Site Manager reports to the LOM on all operative tasks at site ensuring the turbines are maintained to the highest standard and meet the contractual availability for the wind farm. The Service Site Manager is aware of the Key Business KPI:s and ensures the site team is working in a uniform way to achieve those KPI:s
Key accountabilities:
Responsible for availability and performance of Wind Farms in the area
Daily on-site planning and coordination of work
Long term maintenance planning with support team
Ensure execution of planned maintenance and inspection activities
Ensure execution of complex repairs with support from Technical back-office
Ensuring clearance End of Warranty, maintenance & performance improvement punch lists
Managing inventory levels on site
First point of contact for the customer
Participating in regular customer meetings
Management and disciplinary responsibilities
Scheduling, staffing, recruitment and training supported by LOM and P&C
Conducting annual performance reviews of technicians
Ensuring team members follow company policies and procedures
Carrying out disciplinary actions supported by LOM and P&C
Ensure the on-site quality & HSE
Responsible for creation of site emergency plans
Responsible to give site inductions
Responsible for Toolbox talks
Responsible for Subcontractor and maintenance auditing and control of subcontractors at site (work quality and HSE)
Ensuring compliance with local workplace work environment legislation
Responsible for the work environment for the technicians on site
Responsible for complete, correct and timely reporting
Maintenance reporting
Reporting of availability and downtimes through the system (ADM)
HSE reporting
Business KPI reporting to back-office
Other tasks
On the job training of new Service Technicians
Ensuring technician training is completed as required
Further Service related tasks
Job requirements
Career / Job experience
At least 2 years' experience in managing a team
Preferably previous experience in the wind industry e.g. working as a Service Technician
Experience working with business KPI:s
Experience working to high safety standards
Education and qualification
Degree in business, management or related field
Electrical, mechanical or wind industry education/background
Driving License
Computer literate
Personal profile
Physically and mentally fit - able to work at heights
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communicator
Good planning and organizational skills
Health and safety awareness
Customer focus
Flexible and willing to travel from time to time, including nights away from home
Must have a "can do" attitude
