We are happy to announce that we now are hiring a Senior Systems Architect for the future EE Platform within Electrical & Electronics Development who has the drive and passion to contribute to Volvo buses profitability.

What are we looking for?
As a Senior Systems Architect You will be responsible to develop, establish and maintain the architecture, its principles and the organization's architectural mindset needed to develop and deploy a new Electrical/Electronic Platform System for a family of future Volvo buses. The key business needs of this architecture include its ability to support a system that will evolve incrementally over time, its ability to support a system scaled to serve a wide range of different customer offerings, and its ability to support a system embedding reused parts from legacy systems.
What qualifications do we expect?
We expect the "technical qualifications" of a Senior Systems Architect to include the following, or equivalent:
• A deep interest in and years of experience from automotive products and technology.
• Practical skills in Systems Architecting and/or Software Architecting.
• Practical skills in model based engineering of embedded systems including Requirements Engineering, Systems/Software Design, Implementation and Verification.
• Experience both from automotive and non-automotive systems engineering.
• Practical skills in platform /product family architecture designs.
• Experience from Configuration Management, Change Management processes.
• Knowledge from specification and design of systems with variability intense functionality.
We also expect a set of equally important "non-technical qualifications" of a Senior Systems Architect to include the following, or equivalent:
• Combine the mindset of a generalist with the in depth competence of a specialist.
• Possess the planning skills of a strategist.
• Possess leading skills, leading by example, and acting as a motivator for people.
• Exceptional listening and collaboration skills with the willingness to build on or adapt to other people's ideas.
• Negotiation skills with the eager to fight for your ideas.
• Having a deep interest in the complete business and a willingness to build business domain knowledge.
• Deep understanding of the practical realities of the software design/implementation process.
• Deep understanding of the practical realities of the system verification process.
• Excellent communication skills in both writing and in spoken language with the ability to earn peoples' attention on all company levels.
• Awareness of and skills in mitigating issues spawn from organizational politics.
