For one of our customers we are now looking for a senior research scientist focused on immunology and inflammation and respiratory with practical experience from relevant in-vivo and in-vitro work. Start as soon as possible until 2014-12-31
This Senior Research Scientist will be lab-based, demonstrate expertise in their own area, propose experimental strategies, interpret & report experimental data and troubleshoot problems to support drug discovery projects. A further, important part of the role is to design and develop disease-relevant in vivo models and biomarkers in close collaboration with other departments.

Qualification:
We are looking for a senior scientist with a PhD or equivalent background with extensive hands-on experience of animal models and a good understanding of in vivo pharmacology. Excellent scientific laboratory skills and in depth knowledge of practical scientific issues are needed. Knowledge of short immune PK/PD in vivo models as well as a proven track record in supporting drug discovery projects in the delivery of molecules towards clinical development will be an advantage. A robust knowledge of statistical methods and of QA/QC procedures is important in the role.
As a person you should be creative and organized, accurate and be able to work independently while moving forward. It is important that you are committed and are curious along with being open and outgoing. The successful candidate is a communicative team player that likes to work within a group and collaborate while meeting deadlines. We put high importance to personal qualities. Fluency in spoken and written English is required.
