Senior Graphic Designer

Global Design department is responsible for the industrial design for all products and brands (i.e. Husqvarna, Gardena, Jonsered, McCulloch, Flymo, Weedeater, Poulan PRO) within the Husqvarna Group. Global design is a core team of 22 people in Charlotte, US and Stockholm, SW.
The Stockholm office is placed in the heart of Stockholm at Regeringsgatan.

As a Senior Graphic Designer you will be involved in product development from first concept to manufacturing of all products and brands, always with the end user in mind. You will have a tight collaboration with Industrial- and Surface Designers to guarantee that the aim of the brand design is implemented into manufacturing.

Your main responsibilities include (Essential Duties):
• Develop and implement Graphic Design strategies according to respective brand strategy
• Develop and maintain product graphic guidelines for designated corporate brands
• Drive graphic projects from concept to production
• Prioritize, co-ordinate and oversee graphic design activities for the department
• Maintain high quality standards and ensure that finished products meet expectations for attractive appearance
• Actively follow and seek new trends in materials, methods and visual effects.

Requirements:
• Bachelor/Master degree in Graphic Design or Industrial Design
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Graphic Designer
• Experience developing strategic graphic design solutions - holistic, system solutions from a brand design perspective
• Experience designing brand graphics for 3D products
• Strong computer skills; Adobe CS and other relevant design soft-ware

Desired
• Experience working with a global brands
• Experience working with packaging, UX experience

This position is suited to those who a have good understanding of brand strategies and 3D form. As this position requires you to work in a team as well as individually you have to possess good communication and presentation attributes in an international environment. Creative thinking, strong organizational skills and ability to run projects efficiently to meet deadlines are highly valued. Fluency in English is crucial since many projects are run towards countries like Germany, USA, China and Japan etc.
