As a Senior game software engineer at Embark you will be a dedicated game maker, working both on the games themselves as well as our technical platform.

You'll be a driving force in how we create, manage and extend our game systems with responsibility covering multiple levels of the software stack.

Your passion is to build beautiful experiences, both for your fellow colleagues and all the gamers out there. You have analyzed how players explore and experience games, and you want to use those insights to build a future where players can be part of creating their own unique experiences.

Example of responsibilities

• Design and implement software at multiple levels of the software stack
• Create and extend game systems, Implement engaging game mechanics and game AI systems
• Help building tools and frameworks for game development
• Collaborate and mentor fellow software engineers and technical designers
• Build networking systems for multiplayer games
• Build tools and frameworks for game development
• Collaborate with designers and content creators.

It would be awesome if you have

• A creative and curious mind
• Extended experience from game development
• Extended experience from working with game engines, e.g. Unreal or Unity
• Solid experience in C++
• Professional English communication skills.
• A good grasp of performance, optimization and data structures
• The ability to be a great team player with good communication skills
• Experience from other languages such as Python, Rust, Go is a major bonus!
