What we are looking for
In our continuous effort to build a soft real-time platform to meet the demands of tomorrows marketing, we are expanding our team with focus on Erlang. As a Senior Erlang Engineer with Database background you will be part of our scrum team and work on a variety of problems related to event streams generated at our customers websites and via APIs.
You should have a background managing and interacting with huge datasets stored in one or more databases; you have an opinion on the MySQL query planner and you can name one paper from Google and one from Amazon that have been very influential on the NoSQL movement.
Desired experience and skills:
• Experience handling large datasets in databases.
• Used to diagnose query performance
• Experience tweaking database server configuration.
• Like working in distributed VCS systems.
• On your way to mastering Erlang.
• Knowing the ins and outs of glibc and its interaction with the Linux Userland.
• Experience building massive data processing jobs in Hadoop or similar Map/Reduce framework.
• Experience using full-text search on a large scale. (Lucene-based or Sphinx).
• Running testing or production setups in Amazon EC2.
