We are now looking for a committed Senior Environmental Specialist, to complement our Sustainability Products & Services team and to continue to drive our sustainability efforts for our solutions.

Essity follows a life cycle approach from designing products, sourcing raw materials, producing products and all the way through how products are used and after use.
In the role as Senior Environmental Specialist you will be part of further developing our products and support them with social and environmental improvements.
The position is located in Gothenburg and reports to VP Sustainability Products & Services.
Main Tasks
Participate in the development of social assessments of innovations
Support the organization and team with advanced social life cycle and circularity expertise.
Work in close cooperation with the, Global Brand, Innovation & Sustainability, Global Sourcing, Global Reporting and Business Units and to support new solutions that meets our customer and consumer demands.
Participate in the development and follow up of People & Nature Innovations
Develop analyses and related action plans based on existing environmental legislation and future known or presumed regulatory frameworks
Represents Essity in relevant external Trade organizations and other relevant environmental networks
Key Competencies
University degree or equivalent in sustainability, environment, chemical or mechanical engineering or similar
Has broad and documented experience from managing social and environmental assessments in relevant industry such as supply chain management and product development
Extensive life cycle perspective
Understand the full value chain and impact on value creation
Fluent in English, both oral and written
Ability to travel
