Position
The Hydrodynamics Senior Engineer will be a part of the Hydrodynamics discipline and will be reporting to the Group Manager.The primary responsibilities will include:
Global Performance analysis.
Station keeping analysis, mooring or DP
Riser analysis.
Coordinate model test and evaluate the results.
Verify and QA check the analysis work.
Lead role, initiate actions to progress work and takes appropriate action to meet challenging goals, schedules or business needs.
Mentors others in self development by sharing experiences of both previous successes and failures.
External contacts with clients, yards, third party societies and vendors.
Development and effectiveness of the services and software tools within the discipline.
Takes personal responsibility for own career path by actively seeking development opportunities
Profile
The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include:
Completion of a PhD or at least a M.Sc. degree in Naval architecture or similar.
Minimum 8 years experience of simulation work within Hydrodynamics, Station keeping and/or Riser analysis.
Experience from lead or manager position .
Experience from most commonly used Hydrodynamics, Station Keeping and Riser simulation software is required.
Experience from Floating Offshore Units.
Communicates fluently in both English and Swedish.
