Who are we, your new colleagues?
We are part of the Controlling & Product Finance team in Volvo Group Trucks Technology. Central Business Control function drive the common activities in areas like estimates and monthly follow up of expenses, R&D portfolio and investments. Another focus area is the financial tools and processes we are using in our daily operation. We are a global team of approx. 12 controllers located in Gothenburg, Lyon, Greensboro, Curitiba and Bangalore.

Your responsibilities in the role:
As member of the Central Business Control team you will mix regular controlling tasks like forecasts and monthly follow up with a focus on continuous improvements of our methods and tools. We are aiming to take further steps in digitalization of controlling and here we see that you will play an important role. We expect you to be Tech Savvy with strong skills in Microsoft Office and a big talent and interest for business intelligence tools like Power BI. You also have a good analytical mindset with capacity to analyze large data sets and visualize the result.
Your main focus will be:
Support and develop GTT's contribution to R&D allocation including reporting and analysis to Truck Brands in monthly closing and estimates
Calculations of R&D surcharge to products
Active contribution in the communication to Truck Brands and product planning
Support the Financial Governance of the project portfolio
Analyze the status and the forecast of the R&D portfolio, secure management reports, contribute and support in the development of the ways of working with controlling and monitoring of R&D portfolio and product streams
Drive GTT Business Control Digitalization journey where Power BI is one important tool
Work with continuous improvements of methods and tools
Ad hoc financial analysis
We also believe it is important that you have/are:
Relevant educational degree
5 years of controlling experience
Skilled in Microsoft Office and Power BI
Fluent in English
Based in Gothenburg
