We are looking for a Senior Buyer for the area of Marketing & Advertising for one of our major customer..
Purpose of Position
Execute operational purchasing activities of IDP to support stakeholders within defined commodities. Support the implementation of strategic sourcing results and promote the operational efficiency. Work closely with the stakeholders and execute procurement activities. Implement contracts, agreements and new processes. Support and develop efficient standardized req-to-pay processes. Reports to Purchasing Manager.
Tasks and responsibilities:
Perform procurement according to defined strategies and frameworks.
• Review purchase requisitions, identify and select contract/suppliers in accordance with defined
strategies and agreement. Place orders.
• Advise stakeholders on procurement issues, providing support and guidance at all stages of the
procurement cycle.
• Advise stakeholders of modifications from original requests (if alternative, more cost efficient, or
otherwise beneficial alternatives exist)
• Negotiate and sign agreements.
Participate as required in global and regional strategic sourcing projects
• Provide market data and information to strategic sourcing teams
• Validate completeness and relevance of RFI/RFQ
• Support in the evaluation and selection of suppliers
• Work in close collaboration with Purchasing managers, strategic buyers, and stakeholders, to
ensure acceptance and implementation of the sourcing strategy. Actively participate in the
validation of the sourcing strategy implementation approach.
• Actively participating in the implementation of new contract
• Track key performance indicators on supplier and stakeholder contract compliance; define and
take corrective actions to improve contracts compliance.
• Support the implementation of new consumption policies
• Continuously drive/support cost reductions, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and find business
opportunities in collaboration with Purchasing managers, strategic buyers and stakeholders.
Drive procurement initiatives and manage sourcing's outside defined strategies
• Perform sourcing activities according to IDP sourcing process
• Perform necessary market analysis to support the sourcing activity
• Screen, short list and select potential suppliers through a RFI and RFQ process.
• Develop negotiation tactics and lead supplier negotiations
• Work with stakeholders and suppliers in order to resolve issues
• Continuously track supplier performance on quality and cost..
• Initiate and conduct supplier evaluations and supplier audits
• Drive operational efficiency
• Take an active role in develop and support efficient standardized req-to-pay processes.
• Support implementation of new processes and systems, QA and CSR & sustainability requirements.
Required Qualifications and skills:
• Experience within purchasing.
• Preferably the candidate has a higher education as a University degree, but equivalent education and/or relevant work experience is also valid.
• Experience from negotiation
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Meritorious Competences:
• Experience in sales
• Experience from marketing considered a merit as the main stakeholder is within MSS.
Personality:
• The candidate need to have a commercial drive.
• Ability to communicate
• Structured
• High standards in ethics, moral and integrity.
