SKF is establishing a Finance Operation Center organization supporting all SKF units globally. We have an exciting future ahead of us towards a clear Finance strategy road map. Finance will have a powerful role related to a lean, efficient and digital environment, and we are aiming to be in the frontline of next generation Business Finance.
The Finance Function at SKF in Gothenburg Sweden includes Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Record to Report and Central Controlling processes. Our Sub Finance Operation Center will support several countries in North Europe.
Senior Accountant
Your day-to-day work
• Manage and execute accounting activities with high quality
• Responsible for specific month-end closing activities in a company or process (assets, inventory) and manage account reconciliations
• Supervise specific financial reporting areas or a specific company on an everyday basis
• Responsible for preparing financial reports for different legal entities/areas
• Drive and coordinate reporting improvements and use SKF Business excellence as the tool to reach future goals
• Support the Chief accountants
We expect you to have/be
• University graduate with at least 3-5 years of work experience in Accounting/Finance area
• Finance process-oriented and have experience in SAP or other ERP systems
• Good communication skills to both interact with internal client served, as well as within FOC team.
• Accurate, being able to react quickly, communicative
• Fluent English is mandatory
• Computer literacy is essential and experience in MS office applications (excellent command of MS Excel is a must)
• Results and action-oriented person with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Up to date standard knowledge of corporate and local accounting rules.
