Axis is a fast-growing IT company, with a global supply chain consisting of suppliers and customers in all major regions of the world. The supply chain is a key enabler of Axis growth, and as we grow it is vital for us to develop our supply chain to support our growth ambitions and opportunities. We are now looking for a Sales & Operations Planner, who will retrieve and present the best forecasting data possible.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In the position as Sales & Operations Planner you will work together with the Demand planning department closely with Sales, Product Management and Finance. You will have a strong ability in achieving results across organizational borders, this in order to retrieve and present the best forecasting data possible. The positions many interfaces will provide an excellent opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the Axis business, something that is important in order to function well in the position as a Sales & Operations Planner.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Producing an Axis corporate forecast on a regular basis.
• System-aided forecasting and planning.
• Developing market knowledge and tracking trends, through regular visits to sales subsidiaries.
• Tracking product portfolio changes and Axis sales project pipeline.
• Development of the forecasting process and forecasting tools to improve the demand planning process in the supply chain.
• Follow-up of forecasting accuracy, and resulting actions to improve the accuracy.
• Align the forecast process with the sales budget process owned by Finance.
You will report to the Demand and Project manager of Operations.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe that you are a person with a strong personal drive who easily co-operates across organizational borders. Your analytical ability is sharp and you pay good attention to detail. You are always open and willing to learn.
We believe you have:
• A Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Business and Economics.
• 3 years’ experience from supply chain disciplines in an international environment.
• A strong interest in data analysis.
• A strong personal drive and the ability to maintain good contacts with several parties simultaneously.
Furthermore you are fluent in both English and Swedish. Travelling is part of the job and thus required, we estimate 10-20 days/year.
THE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT
Operations is Axis supply chain organization. We work closely with the Research & Development department in industrializing new products to high volume and specified quality, and then run everything from demand planning, through purchasing, customer order management, production and logistics including shipments to our distributors.
Operations also has some key supporting functions like Quality, Production Preparation and Facilities. Once our customers know what they want to buy, Operations make sure they get it. In this we work closely with Sales.
