Customized Bioprocess Solutions (CBS) is a department within Cytiva delivering customized downstream hardware and software solutions used in Biopharma development and manufacturing. Each customer order becomes a project with dedicated resources from project management, design, manufacturing, sourcing, and verification teams. We are now looking for a Sales Support Engineer to further strengthen our global Hardware Quotation Support team, HQS.
What you 'll do:
Develop commercial and technical proposals which maximize profitability and add value for the customer
Provide technical and product expertise of Bioprocess hardware and automation solutions during pre-sales and quotation phase
Receive, analyze, and prioritize quote requests to ensure appropriate, timely quote responses which satisfy customer expectations and meet user requirement specifications (URS)
Interpret customer specifications, drawings, and process application, and document any deviation from the URS
Interface with sales, design teams, project management and other key personnel to gather quotation information and evaluate technical feasibility for customization and/or solution
Work tightly with the project office and design organization to ensure smooth handover to project, design, and manufacturing for awarded customer orders
Maintenance of your own quote portfolio and adherence to commercial, quality, and regulatory processes and systems. Fulfil compliance according to International Trade Control.
Work with global colleagues across functions and teams to share best practices
Occasional international travelling is required to support commercial colleagues and customers
Contribute to the introduction of new technologies and automation solutions
Contribute to Hardware Quotation Support work in developing new processes for an efficient quotation process
Who you are:
Master's degree in engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Automation or equivalent)
Several years of proven industry experience
Demonstrated knowledge of bioprocessing and manufacturing of biopharma products
Demonstrated ability to understand and present complex material in a comprehensible way
Works very well in a global, multi-cultural and team-oriented environment
Good coordinator with capability to handle many parallel activities
Problem solving abilities
Self-motivated and customer focused
Excellent communicator, communicating professionally with both internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work in a rapidly changing climate and reacts well to change
High level of proficiency in English
Desired characteristics:
Experience from large Biopharma projects, working at an engineering company or as a customer in commercial manufacturing
Product knowledge and technical expertise within the Bioprocess equipment area
Familiarity with GMP and other relevant standards issued by FDA, ISO, etc.
Experience with automation systems, process control systems and data historians.
Experience with UNICORN control system and/or distributed control systems such as Emerson DeltaV or Rockwell are highly valued
