The department Driver Interaction & Infotainment works with the mission to develop the most human centric and innovative user experience in the car industry. We are responsible for all digital user interaction in the car as well as the connectivity functions of the car. We are also responsible for the car audio and the infotainment functionality, such as navigation, entertainment and telephony.
The section Strategy & Concept is responsible for early phase development cross the department. We are also responsible for the overall technical system architecture of the sub-system area. The team consists mainly of system architects, project leaders and domain specialists.
The position as Safety and Legal Requirements engineer cover two main responsibility area over the department Driver Interaction & Infotainment;
1. System Safety Engineer: The driver interaction system is important to make sure that functional safety requirements are fulfilled for critical functionality of the car. The role is responsible to coordinate the activities over the department in order to fulfil ISO26262 for the area and to be the system safety coach of the department.
2. Legal Requirements Responsible: There is a large number of legal requirements from all markets that are applicable for driver interaction and infotainment. This role is the main interface between the legal requirements organization and the engineers of the department.
You will have a large network of contacts within the department and with many other parts of Volvo Cars. This is a great starting point for further development, both within the specific competence areas and for general project management.
Required qualifications
* MSc in the Electronics or Software field or similar.
* Good knowledge and experience regarding the standard ISO26262 for Functional Safety.
Meritorious
* Experience within the field of Driver Interaction & Infotainment.
* Experience from legal requirements work.
Personal qualifications
* High willingness to learn.
* A structured approach to problems.
* Supportive attitude.
